End of term report.

What an exciting year 2010 has been. We in Room 14 have accomplished so much and for some the year finished on a high. We had swimming in term 1 and 3, Camp in Term 2,Production in Term 3 and the Year 6s graduating at the end of Term 4. The class tackled everything with gusto and a credit must go to the whole class for the way in which they settled quickly and worked through some problems.The class had some blog accessibility problems during the latter half of the end hopefully everything will be find next year. The blog is a great way for parents to watch how their child is doing and to communicate with them and their teacher. It is also a great way for the child to display their work.
To all our followers on behalf of Room 14, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a great New year for 2011 full of exciting school activities.

Last night

Hi Last night I went to North street school with my 2 uncles to perform with North street school children. Once we got there which was around the corner my Aunty turned up I was really HAPPY. I wanted to find out what the children where doing. So my uncle told me they where doing Gymnastics. We done a warm up and then done the show we where doing it in front of north st children's Parents.After that i had to go home and get ready for Lytton streets Production. I was wearing Black jeans black singlet and a black cardi It all had to be black. I had the best time ever that night.

Horewhenua Netball tournment

Hey me and my friends had a tournament last week on a Sunday. I had to get up at 6.00am and get my uniform on. I was representing North street Which was pretty cool. Once we where all packed up we where on the road on our way to Levin. Once we had got there which was about a hour. We got there I went and found my team. Our first game was at 9.00pm. When we got on it started pouring with rain. :( But luckily We won our first game just by one. We had 3 games to make it into the semi-finals. We won the semis So into the FINALS WE GO. We Found out we where facing Silver pine a team from down the Lower hutt. WE WON THE FINALS we all where jumping up and down. My team had to go up stairs and claim our prize which was a cup and Chocolate Licorice YUMMY. Our team was going to the Fielding pools.

Yesterday my nan went to Manfeild. Shes  a car racer. She was in a race and then crash she hit the front of her car and then the back. She broke off one of her side mirrors. she had to go to hospital in a ambulance. Because she got hert really badly.I fell very sorry for her because she can hardly walk.Today i am going to make a get well card for her. we went to see her at Nessa's house she is my aunty

On Tuesday i did a meatl text we had to dance for a meatl i got the highest level it is gold we did it in group we went into dance at 11:45 and we where in there for about 5 to 10 minutes. Hi me and my friend have found out that we are doing another Netball tournament In Levin with our Rep team.We both where very Happy. You also can buy netball tops for $20 dollars the colours where black with yellow writing or hot pink with yellow writing. I'm getting both tops.

Last Night

Hi my name is Corilee And after school I went home then my Aunty txted me and said do you want to come to the movies I the replied and said yes. I started getting ready I wore my Blue jeans and pink jersey with grey stripes.I had to scootta to my Aunty's I was kinda of late. Once I got there I put my stuff away and then jumped in the car. I sat at the back with my cousin hes a boy.We left to go pick up my uncle Rua. Then Off we go to the Cinemas. When we got there I blasted out of the car and ran down into the cinemas. We came to watch step up 3d It was AWESOME as. We went into the line to get our tickets and Food. I got popcorn, Drink, Lollies and Ice cream. The movie started It looked very cool I liked the Dancing and the moves that they where doing.

Rugby

Rugby is a saturday morning sports and i play it. It is a game were you can get hurt. Rugby is a thing wither your team wins or losers. There  are the teams my team has beat.marres White Black Bush and some other teams. When people play Rugby you would play with a Rugby ball. My team is the Hurricains. 

Speeches

All the year 5 & 6 are doing speeches on the furter . We get about 5 weeks to do them. We start of at writing them out on a spear piece of paper then we write it on card. You have 3.00 minutes long if it is longer or shorter them we get points taken of us. The two people who have the most point go to the finals and see who wins. Last year it was a girl called Ruby . The person who come second was a boy called Nathan.

Netball Tournment =]

Hi 2 weeks ago there was a netball tournament held down at the south street courts.There was about 5 teams that we faced and it was very fun The team that i was in which was a mixture of Lytton street,Manchester,North street,and St Josephs.How cool we had a very good team. That's why WE WON the overall TOURNAMENT we celebrated by going to the pools.

Holidays

In the holidays me and my family went for a long trip to wellington to go to the zoo and my dream job place called the weta shop. the weta shop deigns stuff for horror movies and cartoon movies they do scopchering, drawing, 3d computer drawing and costume making. its a musuem and at the end theres a movie what they do and what movies they make it was really cool weta shop was but we didn't go to the zoo cause it was raining so we went back home the end

School is cool.

This morning i got dressed and had brakfest and biked to my friends house and droped my bike off and walked to my other friends and walk with them to school. Then we did handwriting and wordstudy and wrote a book in our own words and talked about our speech. we have to do on in the future mine is on my dream job which is an airhosstess, thats my dream job. Then we wrote an agument should we have music in the class room i picked yes and then we are going to do maths.

In the holiday mum ,Madison,Jay,Wyatt and me went to Taupo for a week .We went to the hot pools on Wednesday . On the way up we went to the mountain it was Mt Rauapeau I almost fell off the side as it was really windy . I all so held a lion cub.

Saturday

On saturday I shot my first possum. At first my dad saw one and he told me to shoot it but I wounded it. Then my dad shot it in the head, then we saw two close by so we snuck up behind them and I shot it in the guts. It didn't die but then I saw its head and I shot it in the eye then it died. My dad saw another one and he shot it in the back then the possum went mad and tried to attack him, it started to bite the barrel so he pulled the trigger and it then was dead.

Mum's Birthday.

On Thursday the 22 of July i had school and after school my friend come over. we had some cake and a hot drink because it was my mum's birthday. We had cake because her birthday was on Wednesday so we had some cake, it was yum.

Going to the dairy

On Thursday the 21st of July i went to the dairy with my best friend Alayna.On the way we waved to lots of people and they waved back soon we got there i got a zombie chew and five T&Ts and my friend Alayna got an ice-cream and three T&Ts. we paid the man all together it was $2.20 on the way home we were singing and telling jokes i did a realy good one it was why did ET come to Earth becausethe All blacks were saying come ET.Then we went homeand ate our lollies.

MOTOR BIKES

Last Sunday I was at my Aunty's House then my cousin rang my phone and asked me if i wanted to go with them to ride the motorbikes I said yes so they came and picked me up at about 10.30 and we left to go to the park. Well my uncle was geting the bikes ready we where puting our helmets on and deciding wot bikes where were going to ride there are 2 mini quads and 3 two wheelers. I went on one of the mini quads first because it was my VERY first time on a motorbike it was really good fun. I was goin Really FULL SPEED then i changed to go on the two wheeler. We got really Muddy. And then they droped me back off to my auntys

Swimming at the Pools

Hi my name Jasmine and my story is about the time I went swimming for the first time in long long time . My class and another class went with me . getting enrolled tonight at Girl Guides !

Tonight I am going to Girl Guides and at Girl Guides I am getting enrolled to be A real Girl Guide. We were supposed to be enrolled during Term 1. My troop were going to A star gassing center while getting enrolled but every week it got canceled because the clouds were out every thursday and thats the day we have Girl Guides on thursday . The Great Big Waterslide

This is me doing the water-slide at Forest lakes. At first I was scared because we were going into a gargantuan lake. The lake is so dirty that no one can swim in the lake and it was so deep that I got told it was 22m deep.

Heyy my name is Corilee and i play Netball I am in the highest Netball team in my school. Last week we played st Josephs and we Lost =( But other then that it was fun. I made it into this team that reprsent's Feilding at a Tournment along with 2 others from my school there is 8 of us in my team I am soo happy I made it into the team. We play every saturday down at the south street courts. Our game starts at 8.50 in the morning. My coach is Miss billyard We have 9 people in my team.

On Sunday the 27 of the 6 2010 i was walking down to the shop and on the way there i saw something green under a great big leaf i bent down and pulled the leaf away and i saw a twenty dollar note i was so excited because i already had fifteen dollars i my wallet.

On Monday the 28th of June after school I was walking home with my friends at 2:00pm. We got home and played at my house. We watch a movie and when I went to go get something to eat. my mum said to me and my dad we are go to aussie on the 17 of janunary unto the 23 of janunary. I was like yaya!!!!!I said to my mum and dad have you booked the tickets. she said yes I have. After that I run up the stairs and said to my 2 friends Bailey and Ariana I going to aussie. then my friend bailey said when I said on the 17 of janunary into the 23. I said I can't wait. Hello today i have been working on a keyword hunt it is kinda fun also our book is called Discover the past. We start reading at 10 past 9. I am in the highest reading group along with another 6 people.We do reading everyday and we get another book every week most of my friends are in my reading group which is very Exciting.

On thursday my step mum had a baby called London.

my cat casper eats open all the bags of cat biscutes than nocked them over than we had to clean up the cat biscutes it took like 2 and a half hours.  

On monday my mum will go over to napier to go and meet her Mum and Dad and also the two dogs. She will be back sometime on friday and will bring something back for my dad.

I went to brodys house and we played terminator salvation. I shot a big terminator in the head with a rocket launcher it takes five shots to kill terminators.

A day with water crystals

today when i got to school a girl in room 12 was giving out yellow water crystals to people and it was kind of a distraction for people even me because they were always making sure that their water crystals have grown or were stolen, but i was so glad that our water cystals were not banned by Mr Roberts and if they were i would be annoyed

A weird day

Today it was a really weird day because at reading time we got taught how to do a keyword hunt and it lasted for 25 minutes. we had to rule our page up and write the chapter in then we wrote our keywords or phases in to our book. After that Mr Roberts called us back then we had to show him our books. All of my group wrote four boxes and I wrote 5 or 6 words in 5 boxes.

At young leaders day it was lots of  fun.  People who inspired me was Dayna Vawdrey. She was  about talking about when she was young and when she was poor. How with her mum she helped kids who didn't have food or water. She used the 40 hour famine to raise funds.
