On Tuesday the 24th of May our h

House captains went to a young leader day. We went to the Regent Theatre in Palmerston North. When it stared we watched this little clip of a movie of this person running around and after that the host Alice come running out from the side and Charlie from What Now also come running out. Charlie came out Kayla, Riley and I where so happy we just wanted to scream but we could not. They told us their names and after the first speaker Nick, he talked to us about trying other thing. Then Alison talked to us about what we are a listener or we are fun stuff person. I went for fun. After that we had morning tea. We just stayed in the theatre. After that we listened to one more speaker. Her name was Alison Shanks, she is a cyclist and she works with Jesse Sargent. Then we had our lunch and then we went for a walk and took same photos. This photos is ofand Samanthaand Myself down at the park across from the theatre. We went back and listened to two more speaker. Then it was time to go back to school. All the girls went in Mrs.Trembath car. All the boys went in Mrs Webb's car.

We went to the army museum. That is a picture of some Room 14 children on the tank out side the museum. I am not in that picture. There are a lot more tanks out side the museum and cannons out side the museum.

fall over all the time because of all the extra weight he has

got no weapon he must be the commander.

This is the children from Room 14 dressed as army soldiers when we went to the army museum in Waiuoro. I am the British soldier in the middle .We got to look angry . It was good fun.

Hi my name is Hannah from Room 14. I am in the company of making crafts. We are making Pencil Holders. Our CEO is Anna Edwards we try's really hard to do the best we can do. The members of the company is Dominic, Brody, Kenton Reagan, Ariana and me Hannah. We get paid $1.00 a day. We hope to make lots of Pencil Holders and get a lot of money from the well done work we do.

Hi my name is Olivia from Room 14. I am in a company and we hope to make some food for PREP Day. The Company I work for hope to make and sell popcorn. My C.E.O is Kate Thornton also from Room 14. The other members from the company are Kiana and Katie Room 15, Kaleb, Andrew and Kate all from Room 14.

My Cricket Season

This year I played 15 games of cricket and my team won 12 of them. I scored 121 runs and took 7wickets. Our best batman was Patrick and he scored 132 runs and took 10 wickets. Our best bowler was Danelle, he took 12 wickets for the year. We played Newbury, a school from South Africa and a team of Indian. They were some of the teams we played. I can not remember the rest. At one game I broke the bat when the ball hit it. It felt was strange doing that, I have never done that before. It was a big experience to play cricket and it was my first time playing cricket. Now I am going to play Rugby in the winter this year.

Cricket

On 26/3/11 I was at the park in Feilding for my game of Cricket but it was pouring down with rain. There was rain ever where and I fell over and I got my pants wet. We did not have a games of cricket but we had prize giving. All the grades got a medal and there were only three prizes for each team. I was 1 of the players from my team who received a prize . I got most improved player I had scored 121 runs and taken 7 wks for the whole year. My coach's name was Lachie Campbell Next year when I go to intermediate I hope to play hard ball.

My Book

The book Family affair is interesting. It is about a family who lives in Australia. There is a dad a mum and a daughter and two sons. The dad used to live in Greece and now wants to go back there with his family. The mum doesn't want to. I like it and now I want to read on.I want to see if they do move to Greece and what it would be like.

Swimming 2011

last week it was our school swimming sports Mr Roberts our teacher had to time us. I got a time of 46 for my freestyle and I got another time of 56 for backstorke and 1.3minutes for breststrook. It was hard because i am able to tubble turn in the inside pool. I had a bit of problem because there are lots of other quick people in the class. Next week is the whole school swimming sports which means we have to race other people in different events.

Welcome to our blog.
This year we are looking forward to having lots of fun. The class have settled in well and we are working on building our class community, OUR TEAM.
The keyword for our class in 2011 is,
1...TEAMWORK...Everybody helping and everybody working towards being the best.
We are striving to make the children from Room14 the best at Reading, at Writing and at Maths however, we also want to be the best at everything. Nothing is impossible, there is no such word as CAN'T for us in Room 14.
Our class know this challenge will be difficult and we know we have to really concentrate,really work together. We know we have to push ourselves to work outside our comfort zones and the class are up for this challenge.
We know that from time to time things might go wrong but we are sure we can work through these little speed bumps and achieve our goal.
Keep tuned in and watch how we learn, how we are getting on and how we learn to work together.
